Altes Kloster

The new website of the hotel Altes Kloster brings many improvements. It is built on the open source content management system WordPress 3.4.2., which is tailored to the specific requirements of the customer. The design of the website was customized according to specific criteria.

The content management system ensures that editing the content, inserting pictures and publishing news is easy, providing the page administrators with an easy tool to keep the page content interesting and up-to-date. The website is connected to the reservation and customer service system KunLeiSys, so that customers can book their room via the Internet. The system guides the customer through the individual steps, the first being selecting a date. Upon confirmation, the rooms that are available on the selected dates are automatically listed along with a short description and a photo preview. Having selected a room, the client enters his identification data and confirms the reservation.

Word Press 3.4.2

The CMS Word Press, on which the page is built, focuses on simplicity, administration speed, and usability. The 3.4.2 version has a new feature which prevents users to insert pictures into the header, if the size of the picture is not compatible with its settings. The system also offers other advantages, including full compatibility with Web standards, intuitive control and fast publishing, and intelligent RTE editor, easy import, and iterate caching to increase speed.

Site Navigation

The website is visually divided into several sections that allow the visitor to navigate quickly. The interior is elegant and harmonizes with the interior and the identity of the hotel. The clean lines and colours create an atmosphere of peace, a place to relax and a blend between modern features and historic elements.

The menu located at the top of the page is clear and easily distinguishable, which provides a higher level of convenience for the visitor.  The website also has a section for regular guests, who can exchange their loyalty points for attractive discounts after they log in. The site also has a picture gallery, information about the history and surroundings of the hotel and a special offers section.

About the Hotel

The 4* Austrian hotel Altes Kloster, located in the town of Hainburg, in a building dating back to the 17th century, combines modern and traditional elements in an extraordinary way. On the one hand, the hotel has solid walls and ceilings with historic arches; on the other, it offers modern rooms and a wellness area. Apart from holiday stays, the hotel also offers technically very well equipped seminar rooms that are often used for various corporate events. The convenient location of the hotel, situated near the Slovak boarder, makes it an ideal place to stay when you want to visit Bratislava and Vienna. While here, you can also visit the Archaeological Park Carnuntum, which is only a few kilometres away.
