The SCHOOL DANCE 2013

After the huge success of last year’s dance competition for primary and secondary schools, this year, young talents will again get the opportunity to win educational benefits for their school and valuable prizes for themselves.

The new web site of The SCHOOL DANCE 2013, organized by EDULAB, the centre for modern educational technologies, and the dance academy run by Peter Modrovský and Ján Ďurovčík, was launched yesterday. Starting March, contestants will be able to sign up for the II. annual competition using a simple registration form on the aforementioned web site. Later on, it will be possible to upload videos, vote for individual videos and detailed information about the conditions of the competition will also be available.

The page is currently devoted to last year’s competition. Visitors will find a short video of the course of the competition as well as brief information about the number of participating schools and the voting system.

Typo3 V6.0.0

The page is based on the newest version of the CMS Typo3 V6.0.0, which was released in November 2012 and has undergone some improvements when compared to the previous version. Among the most significant is the support of the up-and-coming Internet communication protocol IPv6, which replaces the old IPv4 protocol. The main advantage of IPv6 lies particularly in the improvement of the high-speed data transfer; also the length of the network address has been changed to 128 bits. 128-bit addresses should minimize the fragmentation of the address space and thus ensure a smooth routing.
